Recently,TheWays out of The Three Rural Issues in China, a program of the military & agriculture channel of China Central Television (CCTV-7) has invited XJTU professor Li Shuzhuo and other scholars, social observers, and relationship experts, talking about the marriage difficulties of single males above average age for marriage in Chinese rural areas in the context of gender imbalance, as well as issues including gender equality, family development, targeted poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. Professor Li Shuzhuo, chief expert of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Social Governance and Social Policy Studies of Shaanxi Province, professor of the Institute for Population and Development Studies (IPDS) of the School of Public Policy and Administration, Xi'an Jiaotong University, has long been devoted to the study of issues on Chinese population and social and public administration in the transition period. He focuses on the life and development of vulnerable groups in rural area under the background of gender imbalance, trying to provide solutions to the marriage problems of single males above average age for marriage in rural area from the perspective of social development, cultural change, public policy and globalization.
