About
Dr. Xiao Li is a professor of environmental policy and management at School of Public Policy and Administration, Xi’an Jiaotong University (XJTU). His research and teaching focus on environmental and resource economics, policy, and management, industrial ecology, circular economy, waste management, and evidence-based decision making. His research advances the multi-disciplinary understandings of the development of a green, low-carbon, and circular economy at multiple scales, across multiple pollutants, and from multiple dimensions. He has provided full-spectrum yet holistic investigations into the technological basis, environmental effects, socio-economic drivers and policy interventions, systems planning, and governance models of industrial ecologicalization and decarbonization. He has carried out many studies and projects at the interface of economics, policy, management, and sustainability in China, the US, and Europe. He is the recipient of the 2020 Young Scholar Award of the Chinese Society for Industrial Ecology and has been selected an awardee of the Top Young Talent Program of XJTU in 2021.
Prof. Li is an active member in international and Chinese academic communities. He serves as an Editor for the Journal of Industrial Ecology and was elected President of the Student Chapter of the International Society for Industrial Ecology and Board Member of the Chinese Society for Industrial Ecology.
